"BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Criticizes Supreme Court Over NJAC Verdict, Questions Parliament’s Relevance"

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made a strong statement against the Supreme Court of India. He said that if the Supreme Court keeps rejecting laws passed by Parliament, then there is no need for Parliament — “we should shut it down.”

Why He Said This:
Dubey was upset because the Supreme Court had earlier struck down the NJAC (National Judicial Appointments Commission). The NJAC was a law passed by Parliament to make the process of appointing judges more transparent. But the court ruled it unconstitutional.

His Main Point:
Dubey believes the judiciary is interfering too much in the work of the legislature, which should not happen in a democracy. He wants a clear balance between the powers of the Parliament and the judiciary.
