Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has raised concern over misleading narratives linked to the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. He said that a “deliberate attempt is being made to spread misinformation” and assured that the Election Commission is committed to a transparent and accurate voter list update.


Kumar clarified that the revision of rolls is a standard procedure and warned against creating confusion among voters. He urged citizens to rely only on official platforms for information and avoid unverified claims circulating online.


The Commission has also directed state officials to follow strict guidelines during the process, ensuring fairness and credibility in Bihar’s electoral system.
