Delhi Metro Wall Collapse Disrupts Traffic Near Vasant Kunj

A wall at the under-construction Delhi Metro site near Vasant Kunj, under the Masoodpur flyover, collapsed on August 9, 2025, following heavy rains. The incident caused part of the Mahipalpur–Mehrauli Road to cave in, leading to major traffic disruptions.


No injuries were reported, but Delhi Traffic Police diverted vehicles via Aruna Asaf Ali Marg to ease congestion. Restoration work by DMRC is underway to reopen the route 

soon.
