Self-collection
Visit the designated U.S. Embassy or Consulate location in person. Bring required documents (see below).
Paid delivery
Choose home or office delivery via Blue Dart for ₹1,200. Select preference on USTravelDocs portal — not via call centre.
Minors (under 18)
A parent or legal guardian may collect if they bring the original, signed consent letter from both parents and ID. No scanned/email copies accepted.
Documents to bring for in-person collection
- Original government-issued photo ID with address (bring photocopy too)
- Photocopy of the same ID
- Appointment letter (printed or on phone)
When will uncollected passports be returned? +
If not picked up within the timeframe, documents are returned to the Embassy or Consulate. Typical windows: 14 working days for visa centres, 7 working days for Blue Dart locations.
